How to Make Loaded Burgers American Style

American Loaded Burgers Recipe with Paula Deen
Ingredients: Makes 6 burgers
2 pounds ground chuck
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
2 teaspoons garlic salt
1 teaspons ground black pepper
6 tablespoons shredded extrasharp Cheddar cheese
6 slices sharp cheddar cheese
6 hamburger buns, halve
Creamy Horseradish Sauce(recipe follows)
6 leaves green leaf lettuce
12 slices bacon, cooked until crisp and halved crosswise
¼ red onion, sliced
½ cup bread and butter pickle slices
2 tomatoes, sliced
Caramelized Onions (recipe follows)

Procedures:
  • Spray grill with nonstick nonflammable cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium high heat (350 to 400 degree)
  • In a large bowl, combine ground chuck and next 4 ingredients. Divide mixture into 12 equal portions; shape each portion into a 5 inch patty. Spoon 1 tablespoon shredded cheese onto center of 6 patties. Top with additional patties, pressing edges to seal.
  • Grill patties, covered with grill lid, for 5 to 5 minutes per side or until desired degree of doneness. Top each patty with one slice cheese. Grill buns, cut sides down, for 1 to 2 minutes or until toasted.
  • Spread Creamy Horseradish Sauce over bottom halves of buns. Top with lettuce, bacon, paties, red onion, pickles, tomato, and Caramelized Onions. Cover with bun tops. Serve immediately.
Creamy Horseradish Sauce
Ingredients: Make 1 ¾ cups
1 cup mayonnaise
4 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Procedures:
In a small bowl, combine all ingredients. Cover and refrigerate for up to 5 days.

Caramelized Onions
Ingredients: Make about 1 cup
2 tablespoons butter
3 sweet onions, slice ¼ inch thick
1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar

Procedures:
In a large skillet, melt butter over medium low heat. Add onion; cover and cook, stirring occasionaly, for 15 minutes or until onions are tender. Uncover and increase heat to medium high. Cook, stirring frequently, for 15 to 20 minutes or until onions are caramel colored. Stir in vinegar. Cover and refrigerate for up to 3 days. End.
