Hula Burgers by Sandra Lee
Ingredients: Makes 4 humbergers
1 pound ground chuck
1 (3 ounce) package real bacon bits,
2 tablespoons humberger seasoning
1 (8 ounce) can pineapple slices in juice, drained
1 yellow onion, sliced into ½ inch thick rings
2 tablespoons butter, softened
4 onion rolls
¼ cup mayonnaise
4 butter lettuce leaves
Procedures:

4 onion rolls
¼ cup mayonnaise
4 butter lettuce leaves
Procedures:
- In a large bowl, combine ground chuck, bacon bits, and hamburger seasoning. Form mixture into 4 patties
- Firmly press 1 pineapple slice into top of each patty, reserving remaining pineapple for another use.
- Spra grill rack with nonstick nonflammable cooking spray. Preheat grill to medium high heat (350 to 400 degree)
- Grill burgers, covered with grill lid, pineapple side downl first, for 5 minutes on each side, or until desired degree of doneness
- Grill onion slices, covered with grill lid, for 4 to 6 minutes, or until slightly charred.
- Spread butter evenly on cut sides of onion rolls, grill rolls for 1 to 2 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
- Spread mayonnaise on bottom halves of rolls. Top each with 1 lettuce leaf and grilled onion. Place burgers on top of onions. Cover with roll tops. Serve immediately. End.
