  • 1 bundle of kangkong, leaves separated, stalks cut into 2 inch lengths
  • 3-5 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1-2 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • Generous dash of black pepper
  • Drizzle of sesame oil(optional)
  • Sprinkle of crispy fried garlic on top, for garnish(optional)

  1. Heat a medium pan over medium heat. Pour enough oil to cover the bottom of the pan.
  2. Once the oil is hot, mix in the garlic until golden.
  3. Mix in the kangkong until your pan is almost overflowing with it. Cover and cook over low heat until the kangkong shrinks in half, about 5 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, and pepper.
  5. Pour the seasoning into your kangkong and mix well. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  6. Cook for another 5 minutes or until the kangkong has absorbed some of the flavors.
  7. Turn off the heat and drizzle with a bit of sesame oil(optional). Garnish with fried garlic on top(optional). Serve hot with rice. End.
