Tortilla - A (flour tortilla or to differentiate it from other uses of the word "tortilla") tortilla is a type of thin flat bread made from finely ground wheat flour. Originally derived from corn tortilla (tortilla in Spanish means "little torta" or "little cake"), a corn bread, which predates the arrival of Europeans to America, the flour tortilla was an innovation after wheat was brought to the New World from Mexico, while this region was the colony of New Mexico. It is a body of water without yeast, based, pressed and cooked like corn tortillas.
