How to Make Grilled Asparagus Sun Dried Tomato and Prosciutto Pizza with Sandra Lee
Ingredients: Makes 4 servings
1 pound fresh asparagus, trimmed all pupose flour
1 pound purchased fresh pizza dough
1 cup ricotta
6 slices prosciutto
1 bunch green onions, sliced
½ cup sun dried tomatoes, thinly sliced

Procedures:
  • Spray grill rack with nonstick nonflammable cooking spray. Preheat grill to high heat (400 degree to 450 degree)
  • In a large deep skillet, cook asparagus in boiling salted water to cover for 2 to 3 minutes, or until crisp tender; drain. Plunge asparagus into ice water to stop the cooking process; drain well. Coarsely chop asparagus, if desired.
  • On a work surface, place a large sheet of heavy duty aluminum foil. Lightly dust with flour. Place dough in center of foil. Using floured hands, press dough out from center to form a circle. Invert dough onto grill rack; peel off and discard foil. Grill, covered with grill lid, for 2 to 3 minutes. Using grill tongs and a large spatula, carefully remove crust from grill to a baking sheet, grilled side up.
  • Spread ricotta evenly ove curst. Top with prosciutto, green onions, tomatoes, and asparagus. Return pizza to grill. Grill, covered with grill lid, for 3 to 4 minutes, or until crust is done and toppings are heated through.
Note: check with the bakery department at your local grocery store or pizza place for fresh dough. Be sure to ask for preparation instructions, including possible additional time for dough to rise.

To bake in an oven: preheat oven to 425 degree. On a baking sheet, prepare pizza according to directions. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes. Or until crust is done and toppings are heated through. End.
