How to Cook Nilagang Pata ng Baka

Nilagang Pata ng Baka Recipe
Ingredients: 6 to 8 Serving
1 kilo beef pata, liced into one inch rounds
Water
3 stalks lemongrass(tanglad)
3 to 5 pieces kamias
3 pieces tamarind fruit
½ cup banana blossoms, soaked in water
1 cup langka, sliced into 1 inch cubes
3 medium onions, quartered
3 to 5 cloves garlic
Salt and pepper to taste

Procedures:
  • Place pata in deep pot with enough water to cover the meat. Let boil about 3 minutes then allow to simmer 2 to 3 hours or until tender, prferably over hot coals.
  • When tender, uncover the pot and cool pata slightly. Freeze overnight in covered container.
  • The next day remove frozen layer of fat. Ad the rest of the ingrediets to pata in broth . cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes. Serve hot. End.
