Ingredients: Makes 2
1 tablespoon orange zest
4 fresh sage leaves
½ cup vodka
¼ cup orange flavored liqueur
3 tablespoons simple syrup(recipe below)
Ice
Garnish: orange zest strips, fresh sage leaves
Procedures:
In a martini shaker, crush orange zest and sage leaves using the back of a spoon. Add vodka, liqueur, simple syrup, and ice. Shake and strain. Serve immediately. Garnish with orange zest strips and sage leaves, if desired.
Note: wrap orange zest strips around a straw and freeze to create a curled orange zest garnish.
Orange Sage Mocktini
Prepare recipe as directed, omitting vodka and substituting ¼ cup orange juice for liqueur. Serve immediately. Garnish with orange zest strips and sage leaves, if desired.
